Jack's Roadside BBQ Family Photo

More Than BBQ. This Is Our Story.

Built on family, faith, hardwood smoke — and a little bit of God’s perfect timing.

OUR ROOTS

Where It All Started

Long before Jack’s Roadside BBQ had a building in Davisburg, there was smoke in the air at Clubhouse BBQ in Ferndale.

In 1995, Trevor’s dad, Jack Aronson, opened Clubhouse BBQ — a small but legendary smokehouse known for unforgettable brisket and pulled pork.

But the story didn’t stop there.

Inside that kitchen, Jack created a fresh salsa recipe that would eventually become Garden Fresh Salsa — better known today as Jack’s Salsa — sold nationally across the country.

What started behind the smoker turned into one of the most recognized fresh salsa brands in North America.

BBQ and bold flavor have always been part of this family’s DNA.

FAITH & FAMILY

A Story Bigger Than Business

This isn’t just a restaurant story. It’s a faith story.

God’s timing brought Trevor and Angela together on a plane — and they were married within weeks.

Shortly after, they blended their families — three boys and three girls — basically the Brady Bunch, BBQ edition.

From day one, they built everything as a team.

Through every season — the wins, the losses, the long nights — they trusted that if they stayed faithful and worked hard, the rest would fall into place.

FROM TRAILER TO SMOKEHOUSE

Built from the Ground Up

In 2019, Trevor and Angela started Jack’s Roadside BBQ as a seasonal food trailer in the Clarkston area.

They did it together — side by side.

Trevor on the smoker.
Angela building the brand.
Six kids cheering them on.

The response was immediate. The community showed up.

What started as a trailer quickly became something bigger.

In 2022, they purchased the Four Seasons building in Davisburg and created a year-round home for their team, their family, and their customers.

The rest? You could say the smoke kept rolling.

LEGACY CONTINUES

Honoring the Past. Feeding the Future.

Shortly after the sale of Garden Fresh, Jack passed away from cancer at 68.

His belief in Trevor never wavered.

Jack’s Roadside BBQ exists today because of that legacy — the work ethic, the flavor, the grit, and the belief that great food brings people together.

This isn’t just about brisket.

It’s about continuing something that started generations ago.
